How to set up an email account in Microsoft Entourage?
This tutorial will guide you step by step though the process of setting up an e-mail account in Microsoft Entourage (based on Microsoft Entourage 2004).
1. E-mail Account in Microsoft Entourage Step #1
In Microsoft Entourage, from the Tools menu, select Accounts.
2. E-mail Account in Microsoft Entourage Step #2
On the Accounts wizard window, Go to the New and select Mail.
3. E-mail Account in Microsoft Entourage Step #3
Type in your E-mail address and click on the arrow at the bottom. Microsoft Entourage will try to do an automatic configuration for your e-mail account which will probably fail. Click again on the small arrow ant the bottom to go to the next step.
4. E-mail Account in Microsoft Entourage Step #4
Verify and Complete Settings window: type in Your name (or business name), E-mail address, Account ID (which should be the same as your e-mail address) and Password.- Incoming mail server
- Choose POP3 server. This will be in the form of mail.yourdomain.co.uk. Let's say your web address is www.thisismydomain.com, then your POP3 server will be as follows - mail.thisismydomain.com
- Outgoing mail server
- This one is provided by your ISP (Internet Service Provider). Depending on who is your ISP, the value will be different. To see a list of SMTP servers for ISPs in UK, please click here.
Please note, we used in our example mail.btinternet.com, which is one of BT's SMTP server.
5. E-mail Account in Microsoft Entourage Step #5
Congratulations! Your mail account has been created successfully and is ready for use. You should now be able to send and receive e-mails using your e-mail account with Kiswebs.
To finish the process type in a name for that e-mail account (for display purposes).
Click Finish
